Friday Fives - Rip roaring raccoons

Psst. I'll let you into a secret...Eric is my favourite character in The Land of Me. His cheeky, Dickens-esque accent fills me with joy...especially when he says 'It's a gusty, gusty wind' it gets me every time. This week we have had a sneak peak of what Eric will look like as a soft toy. Currently his legs are like bellows, but my word, he is a charmer alright. There aren't many plush raccoons out there so I think his creation will be welcome in the cuddly raccoon kingdom. Here are some of his potential playmates.

1. Clarence
Me oh my. What a bobbydazzler of a name this little fella has. Isn't he a delight? Loving the old school tweed he is fashioning. He does look somewhat startled doesn't he? Perhaps someone disturbed him whilst he was foraging in a bin. Having got to know this wee tyke a little bit, I can reliably inform you that he hates department stores and mega stores, so there will be no trips to Asda for him. You have been warned.

2. Max
How long do you think this little fella has been holding his arms out like this for? He's certainly going to be sporting some mean muscle definition when he's finished. There is something quite Penfoldy about him. Something in the face methinks. I am pretty fond of his natty blue jacket with it's shell button. Very dapper. If not a little effeminate. He totally styles it out though.

3. Randolph
I am assuming with a name like Randolph that this guy is pretty minted, owns a pair of Hunter wellies and summers in Monte Carlo. He's also made out of cashmere dahling, so he is oh so soft to the touch. He is the owner of a particularly large pair of peepers so you'd hope he would be exceptionally good at seeing in the dark when on the prowl for juicy tidbits. He probably owns a monocle too.

4. Reginald
Most likely bosom buddies with the aforementioned Randolph. They probably go shooting together and sup a rather charming cognac in front of a roaring fire before supper on Sundays. With aspirations to be an airplane pilot he'd better start practicing a more reassuring facial expression. Also, the fact that his eyes are a little lower than his nose might be an issue when it comes to donning his aviators.

5. Bandit
From now on I want to be known as Bandit. No one would mess with your business with a moniker like that. To be fair this little dude doesn't scream 'gangster' but you know as well as I do that it's the quiet ones you have to watch. Perhaps it's all part of his elaborate subterfuge..wear a look of fear on your face and no one will expect you to pinch their trinkets. He's a right clever Trevor this one.

(N.B. We do not condone or support the pinching of trinkets).
